Pastor Chad Wagner

Pastor Chad Wagner grew up just a little ways away in Sparta, WI.  He was blessed to grow up in a Christian family and as a result, accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, at the young age of 10.  Chad never thought he would be a Pastor but God kept working on him until he surrendered to that calling in 1992.  Chad is committed to preaching and teaching the Word of God faithfully, shepherding the people of God with much prayer and grace, and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead himself and his flock.

He is a graduate of Pillsbury Baptist Bible (93) and Central Baptist Theological Seminary (98).  He became the Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist in January of  2005.  Prior to coming to Lighthouse, he served as a youth pastor in Brooklyn Park, MN and as Church planter in Seattle, WA.  Chad has been married, to his wife Mary for 25+ years and they have four children; Savannah, Darby, Ricky and Michal.  Chad enjoys to fish, drink coffee and carry on a love-hate relationship with the Minnesota Vikings.  In his free-time, he is pursuing a doctoral degree at Central Seminary in Minneapolis, MN.

Family Pastor Nick Lavy

Nick Lavy was born in Greenville, Ohio in 1978 and was blessed to grow up in a Christian home. He attended a Christian school from Kindergarten through 12th grade and his family were regular attendants at the church attached to the school. He attended Wednesdays and twice on Sundays. The problem with all of that, sadly, is that Christianity became more about works than about a personal relationship with Jesus. At the age of 3 he professed to have accepted Jesus as my Savior, and got baptized a few years later. After college, in 2000 he moved to Wyoming where he met his now best friend and wife, Elly. They have 5 wonderful children!
It wasn’t until the age of 30 that he truly accepted Christ as his personal Savior and realized what it meant to have a relationship with Him. Because he then allowed himself to hear God speak into his life and give His direction, he felt strongly led to Viroqua Wisconsin where they have seen God work in so many ways! Becoming a family pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church is one more example of God’s work in me.
